Unitrack is an iOS app for logging strength training. It suggests weights and reps based on your history, how you feel today and, if you choose, your menstrual cycle. Unitrack is made by Anhelina Volina, an individual developer ("I", "me"). I am responsible for your data under this policy.

In short

  • Your training data stays on your iPhone. Without an account, I never receive it.
  • The Unitrack app has no ads, no analytics SDKs and no tracking. It does not sell or share your data.
  • Apple Health is optional. You choose what to connect and can disconnect at any time.
  • Health data is never used for advertising or marketing.

1. Data stored on your iPhone

Unitrack keeps a database on your iPhone. It holds:

  • workouts, exercises, sets, weights, reps and rest times;
  • your training plans and custom exercises;
  • your answers about how you feel and how a workout went;
  • period dates you enter or allow Unitrack to read from Apple Health;
  • your settings.

The Unitrack home screen widget reads the same data on the same iPhone. Nothing here leaves your device unless you create an account (section 4) or share something yourself (section 3).

Your iPhone's own backup (iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer) may include this database, depending on your device settings. Apple runs these backups; I have no access to them. If you delete the app, its data on the iPhone is deleted too.

2. Apple Health

Connecting Apple Health is optional. iOS asks for your permission for each type of data, and you can change it any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

WhatWhy
Reads logged periods (menstrual flow)To work out your cycle day and phase
Reads strength workoutsTo find workout history from other apps you can bring over
Writes finished workoutsSo your Unitrack workouts appear in Apple Health
Reads sleepTo show how long you slept last night on the Today screen
Reads heart rate variability (HRV)To show last night's HRV on the Today screen

Data from Apple Health is processed on your iPhone and is not synced to the cloud. Only if you turn on "Help improve recommendations", the cycle day and phase of each workout are included in that data, even when they come from Apple Health (section 4). Sleep and HRV are read fresh each time and only shown on your iPhone: Unitrack does not store them, does not sync them and does not include them in the data for improving recommendations. Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold and never shared with third parties.

3. Importing, sharing and notifications

  • Importing history. When you bring over a file exported from Strong or Hevy, Unitrack reads it on your iPhone. The file is not uploaded anywhere.
  • Sharing a workout. The share image is made on your iPhone. It goes only where you send it, for example to Instagram Stories, or to Photos if you allow Unitrack to add images there. From then on, the privacy policy of that app applies.
  • Notifications. Rest timer alerts are created on your iPhone. Unitrack does not send push notifications from a server.

4. Optional account and sync

An account is optional. It backs up your training data and syncs it between your devices.

  • Signing in. With Apple or with a one-time code sent to your email. Unitrack has no passwords. I receive your email address and an account ID; with Apple you can hide your real email.
  • What is synced. The data from section 1: workouts, plans, your answers about how you feel, and period dates you enter yourself. Period dates and other data read from Apple Health stay on your iPhone and are not synced (section 2).
  • Where it is stored. With Supabase, a cloud database provider, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Sign-in codes are emailed through Resend (US).
  • Improving recommendations. Only if you agree in the app, I use synced training data to tune how Unitrack suggests weights and reps. This includes your cycle day and phase at the time of each workout, which may come from Apple Health; your period dates themselves are not included. For this, data is separated from your email and account details. This data is kept while your consent is active, and no longer than 6 months after your last workout; it is deleted when you withdraw consent or delete your account. You can withdraw consent in Settings at any time.
  • Deleting your account. In Settings → Delete account. Your data in the cloud is deleted within 30 days; server backups that still contain it expire within 7 days and are never used to bring deleted data back. Deleting your account also removes its data from your devices when they next connect. A minimal record that the deletion happened — without your email or workout data — is kept so deleted data is never restored from a backup.

5. How your data is used

Your data is used only to run Unitrack for you: to log workouts, suggest weights and reps, and show your progress. Suggestions are training tips, not medical advice.

Unitrack never:

  • shows ads or uses advertising or analytics SDKs;
  • tracks you across other apps or websites;
  • sells, rents or trades your data;
  • uses health or cycle data for marketing;
  • shares your data with anyone except the providers named in this policy, or when the law requires it.

Under the GDPR, I process health and cycle data only with your consent: you give it by connecting Apple Health, or by entering period dates. You can withdraw it by disconnecting or deleting the data.

unitrack.fit counts page views and clicks on the TestFlight and App Store buttons with PostHog, without cookies or session recording. PostHog receives your IP address; its servers are in the US.

6. Your rights

You can ask me to show, correct, export or delete the data I hold about you, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Without an account I hold no data about you: everything is on your iPhone and under your control. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Write to support@unitrack.fit. I reply within 30 days.

7. Security

Your data on the iPhone is protected by iOS encryption. Tokens are kept in the iOS Keychain. All network connections use HTTPS. No method is perfectly secure, but I will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

8. Children

Unitrack is not meant for anyone under 16, and I do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
